Career Copilot is a career advice and career resources blog written by a professional career consultant.  This career blog is a must read for anyone who is out of work and searching for a job.  They cover everything from resume writing, interviewing, and most importantly job hunting techniques and strategies.  This blog is also heavily followed by other professional in the career field, like, recruiters, resume writers and HR professionals.  There are two weekly features that I enjoy.  Every week, the Career Copilot, posts a “before” resume of a client he is working with, the next day he will post the “after” as well as specific comments on the changes made.  After reading a couple of these posts you will be able to learn the proper way to write a professional resume.  He also has a section where once a week, he will highlight and review the top 2 or 3 job boards in a particular niche.

The layout of Career Copilot is very clean and simple yet professional.  There is a nice customized header that adds to the look and feel of the site.  The site is easy to navigate and well categorized.   There are several ads but they are not over powering.

All in all, this blog rates as 4 out of 5.  The blog contains great and helpful content.  Nice clean design and it is updated almost daily.  I would of given this a higher rating, expect there was a big gap between July and December of last year where there were no posts.  I am not sure what happened but I am glad this blog is back on track

Green Jobs are very popular these days and this blog is leading the way in this new and growing industry.  GreenJobScene.com is a blog that covers breaking news and other relevant information pertaining to green jobs.  The blog is run by the owner of a green recruiting firm and green career consultant and this helps create the blog’s authority on this subject matter.  The content is very sharp and very current.  One of the greatest sections is the “green job of the day” where each day they feature a different green company and green opportunity.  This is a great way to gain daily followers and I am sure they have a ton of rss subscribers.

The blog is very appealing to the eye, the bold green colors and simple logo really make this blog stand out among the millions of boring blog themes out there.  You will also notice a jobs widget that is prominently displayed on the left third of the page.  There are 20 featured green jobs within this widget, you can click on the widget and be directed to the green job board that is associated with this blog.

This blog gets a very impressive rating of 4.5 out 5.  It scores high on all five areas; content, appearance, navigation, uniqueness and activity.  I is hard to get a 5 out of me,  but this blog comes real close.  Very impressive.
